Active Anode
Material Facility
Vidalia, Louisiana
First U.S. Processing Facility for Graphite-Based AAM, a Critical Material Used in Lithium-Ion Batteries
EPIC supported the development and execution of a large-scale, vertically integrated AAM (Active Anode Material) production facility. Our team supplied 7716 pipe spools made up of both carbon steel and stainless steel. The fabrication includes 150,784 diameter inches of welding and 1.3 million pounds of total weight with pipe diameters ranging from ½ inch up to 24-inch pipe.
EPIC will also supply 25,500 total field supports alongside the piping by the completion of the project. The first phase of the 11.25 ktpa AAM facility is scheduled to commence operations in Q3 of 2023, supplying Tier 1 customers in the United States.
